ART OF THE GREAT WAR

During World War I, many renowned artists volunteered their skills on the homefront, creating compelling and beautiful posters promoting the war effort. This exhibit features examples of these evocative posters from the Alabama Archives' collections, exploring the symbolic imagery and the artists who created them. 

Local organizations may choose to display the exhibit in its entirety (23 posters) or a smaller portion of the exhibit. To host the exhibit, submit an application through the link below. You will be contacted within 5 business days of submission. The exhibit must be displayed in a space accessible to the general public. View the Guidelines for additional information.
